Bonsai pots are ceramic pots in which bonsai are grown. The feature that makes these pots different from pots used for common house plants are that they tend to be smaller in contrast to the tree that is grown in it. Pots can have a wide variety of looks and colors.
Training pots[]
Before a tree is ready to be put into a proper bonsai pot it is often put into a training container, this container can be anything from common plastic nursery pots to wooden boxes. The purpose of this is to have less restricted growth in a bigger container while the tree is being refined and worked on before it is ready to be shown.
